Florida, My New Home.
Hey Readers,
I realize it's been forever since my last post, but I've had a lot going on the last month and the last few weeks at that. I finally made my move to Daytona Beach, Florida. This isn't my second time living in Florida when I was about 3 or so my mother, father & I moved to Florida to stay with my mom's parents for awhile, but this is the first time I've ever lived in Daytona Beach, it's been pretty cool I've had many first since living here I flew on a plane for the first time. (I'll never go on a long trip again unless I fly). I finally got to see my mom and stepdad for the first time in a total of four long months, our reunions were pretty awesome. It felt so good to see the both of them after what felt like eternity, it was very hard to grasp the concept that I was moving out of my small town of Eastern Kentucky. I was so ready to see my mom and stepdad though. I've been here a week and it doesn't even feel like it's that long, My mom and I have had so much fun spending time with each other it's been full of laughter, long talks, and giggling over the silliest things like small children, although I feel very very blessed to have quality one on one time with my mother. I just feel very guilty that my stepdad is still in the hospital and can't enjoy living in Florida with the both of us. I still pray daily that God can heal him and that he will beat this horrible disease that we know as Cancer. I know that with tons of prayers and lots of healing thoughts that he will be healed by the powerful man upstairs. I've included a mini slideshow of pictures so you can see some of the things I've saw while being here.
I'm going to try my best to find more time to post on here, because after all the whole reason I started this website was because it was something I was passionate about, telling my story, hearing great feedback, and inspiring others all at the same time. Even though my title for my website is: "My Journey With CP." I didn't want my whole website to just be about Cerebral Palsy, my whole intention of naming my site this from the very beginning was because I wanted to inspire others and motivate others, I wanted to show almost everyone that just because some may do things a little differently than others that they have a voice, and they deserve what people classify as a 'normal life' too, but in reality if you think about it exactly what is a normal life? There is no such thing as a normal or perfect life in my book because everyone has some form of disability just because you can't see it doesn't mean they don't have one some are just visible disabilities while others are not.
I'll end my post with this,
"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring."
-Marilyn Monroe.
