MG (Myasthenia Gravis Awarness
I have created this page to spread Awarness for the non-curable neuromuscular disease Myasthena Gravis, I think that everyone should be aware of this disease and what kind of physical toll it takes on the human body. My Grandmother Charlotte George, was diagnosed with this disease awhile back it took forever to finally find out her proper diagnosis, before we found out that she had this type of disease she had a light mini stroke in her right side which affected the left side of her body. She has always had back, leg, and foot problems and even swallowing, she is the strongest person I know. I love more than she knows

I am a part of a group on Facebook called "Myasthena Gravis Sisters" where women with this disease discuss their issues and ask for prayers and support on their journey, I actually asked a couple of women if they would share their story with MG with me and a couple of them did. I only have one story so far that I will post now the rest of the stories will be posted on this page soon.
Well where to begin. It started out with me walking my dog in the spring and my feet were so heavy. Then I started falling and could not use stares well at all. Well my Dr in Michigan put me through all kinds of tests, but it was getting so much worse. I finally called the Cleveland clinic and scheduled a appointment. It took them 3 days to diagnose me with seronegative mg. They put me on prednisone and mestinon right away. I thought my sister was going to have a heart attack. I was able to walk within a couple of hours. I went in the hospital in a wheel chair and left walking!!! I owe my life to those doctors. I am now on just cellcept 2000 mgs a day and have good days and bad. But you know what I am here and alive. I thank God for every day he gives me. But I had to take care of myself and went to Cleveland."
