School Issues.
As I got out of Head Start, Kendergarten, and on up in Elementary Education Pre-K-5th the school principal and school staff wanted to kick me out of their school because they didn't want to make their school handicapped accessible at the time the school had many stairs both a first level and second level I was not the only handicapped student that went to this school they had tried to do the same thing to the other students who had a physical disability just like I did and in the school staffs words,"Hayley should go to another school that is more equipped for her needs", by saying this they meant that I should go to another school because I was disabled because they didn't have anyone there like an aide or the time or money basically to make their school handicapped accessible for me or these other children. That caused an argument between my parents and the school staff because, the school staff was basically taking away my rights and opportunities that any other student should have. Like: going out to play or, related arts classes such as: music, art or physical education (P.E.) so my mom who quit her job to become a stay at home mom because she became disabled and back surgery for bulging disks in her back would come down there and pack me up the steps or down to my classes that didn't stop my parents and grandparents from being highly upset and throwing a fit though, because they went and got a lawyer in Lexington, Kentucky and fought the school system over this issue and won the case forcing the school system to have to make their facility handicapped accessible for all students. Now I'm not gonna lie I was pretty upset myself with the school because they were basically trying to force me to leave my friends and my school environment. The school and The Board of Education was pretty upset that they had to make my school handicapped accessible for me and the rest of the students with disabilities like me and they were also pretty upset that they didn't recieve their wish of kicking me out either. All in all I like to think that God had a hand in this situation and all of us (my family & I) we prayed hard for it and we succeeded. As it turns out even though they wanted to send me to a different school and was upset that they had to make new adjustments they got over it and I became one of the best students they ever had.
